ImageFIRST Reflected on Their Role in the Patient Experience During PX Week

From April 24 to April 28, ImageFIRST locations across the country set aside time in their busy schedules to celebrate Patient Experience Week (PX Week). The weeklong event, led by The Beryl Institute, is an annual celebration in which organizations who are involved in the medical industry take the time to celebrate their accomplishments and reflect upon the role that they have in the patient experience. It also serves as a reminder of how valuable the work they do is, such as providing healthcare bed supplies to the New Castle, PA, area, and how it impacts the patient experience.

At the ImageFIRST Corporate Office, associates discussed how the goals of Patient Experience Week directly align with our Company Purpose: To build a great company by positively impacting the lives of our associates, our community, our customers and their patients. They also read through testimonials from patients who took the time to reach out and share positive experiences, particularly with our Comfort Care gowns.

“I Am the Patient Experience"

Associates at both the ImageFIRST Corporate Office and the NYC-NJ office completed a coloring page activity, which was provided by the Beryl Institute. The uniqueness of everyone’s vibrant designs is also indicative of how each patient has unique needs, and their experience will always be different than someone else’s. We think of each patient as being a member of our family, which is why we always go the extra mile for our customers, which in turn, affects their patients.

A “Taste” of the Patient Experience

The Corporate Office ended their day with a sweet treat. They participated in a “make your own cupcake” activity. First, they chose either a vanilla or a chocolate cupcake and then added frosting and their choice of a variety of toppings. By expressing their individuality in the form of a scrumptious dessert, the associates were once again reminded of how different each patient’s experience is when they enter a medical facility.
